Introduction
Immortality has been a dream for humankind since the dawn of time. No one likes the idea of death taking them or their loved ones. What many people detest even more, however, is the idea of having a frail body with lots of ailments in their older age. Living long means little if the extended life is full of pains and challenges. This is why people have been looking for ways to prolong health and life. This endeavor has been largely unsuccessful because anti-aging science did not have any significant breakthroughs until recently.

Recent research in the field has yielded promising results. The discovery of a substance known as Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+) in human cells has been groundbreaking for this type of research. Studies have found NAD+ to be at the center of processes related to aging. As we age, the levels of NAD+ available to cells and tissues decline progressively. Critical bodily functions get compromised due to depleting NAD+ levels with age. However, the recent research in anti-aging has shown considerable promise in replenishing the NAD+ levels with the help of Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), a precursor of NAD+. Increasing the amount of NAD+ available to the cells improves these age-related ailments and helps the user live a healthier and more fulfilling life.
David Sinclair and Aging
David Sinclair is one of the leading experts on aging. He has spent his whole career studying different substances and how they affect aging. He’s a professor of genetics at Harvard University. Fisetin

A 2016 study appreciated the role of this substance by saying that Fisetin “has shown strong anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-tumorigenic, anti-invasive, anti-angiogenic, anti-diabetic, neuroprotective, and cardioprotective effects in cell culture and in animal models relevant to human diseases.” One of the most effective ways that Fisetin helps fight aging is by ensuring that the harmful senescent cells are taken care of. These cells become more abundant as we age. Removing them helps decrease inflammation and restore healthy cellular metabolism. Recent studies have found Fisetin to be effective in cancer treatment.
Fisetin is needed in order to fight the cellular senescence in the body. Cellular senescence is a process when cells stop multiplying but instead of dying off as they should, they keep releasing chemicals around them, causing inflammation. Cell senescence is not always a bad thing. Many healthy functions rely on cell senescence such as wound healing, embryonic development, and childbirth. However, outside of its healthy function, cell senescence can be harmful to the body. It causes inflammation and damages the neighboring cells.

Normally, the body’s immune system is quite good at getting rid of senescent cells that aren’t needed. However, as we age, our immune system becomes less and less effective which leads to a high accumulation of senescent cells. As a result, senescent cells can be connected to a range of conditions related to age such as cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary fibrosis, osteoporosis, diabetes, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and osteoarthritis. In order to have a shot at effectively slowing down and reversing aging, it is important to deal with the adverse impact of cell senescence on the human body. Fisetin, a substance found in many plants and fruits, effectively accomplishes this goal.
